Staging Light
A community of playwrights, actors, directors, designers and other theater artists who share a Christian worldview and a passion for excellence.
Does this sound familiar?
You love the process of working with your local theater—but are weary of the constant pressure to compromise your values. You love your church community, but they don’t understand your passion for theater.
You know that an excellent play or musical speaks truth to the heart in ways sermons never can, and that God has called you to be part of creating and telling such stories.
You long to find other playwrights, actors, directors, designers and other Christian theater artists who feel the same way.
Whether you’re in a small town or large city, avocational or professional, we want to help you connect with other “theater Christians” with whom you can make friends and collaborate.
Connect like-minded Christian theater artists for fellowship and collaboration.
Promote the development of excellence in craft.
Facilitate the development of authentic new plays and musicals that entertain, inspire and amplify biblical truth.
This free community operates similarly to Facebook but is private. When you join, you’ll be asked to register and answer a few screening questions. Your information will not be shared. Troll-free zone. No ads. No tracking.
In the future, we plan to host events such as meetings, classes, and table reads of new work.
We hope to meet you soon!

I confess: my motivation for establishing Theater Christians is selfish. I have been looking for communities of Christian theater people—but I haven’t found any. Unlike our brothers and sisters in the film world who have established multiple networks of Christian film artists, I have found no such presence for Christian theater artists. The Christian world
